Intercoastal Dining with a relaxed atmosphere
This restaurant is located on the Intercoastal waterway on the west side of the Deerfield beach bridge. The Cove has open views of the water on the outside deck where you can enjoy a cocktail as you see your favorite boat go by on the waterway. The food is a liitle pricy for a coastal spot, you may want to consider going before 6 pm for the early bird specials where it would knock about $5 off the entree price. I had the crest grilled slightly blackened Mahi and found it very good, served with baked potato and green beans. You may want to order the Conch Critters which were 6 larger triangles that can feed 8-10 for $10.99. I rate this place a solid 4 on a scale of 1 to 5.

Overpriced
We went to the Cove for lunch. While the food was good, it was definitely overpriced. Service was average - which was disappointing because the place was empty! You pay for the location, view, and ambiance at this restaurant. A good place to take south Florida visitors because of the on the water intercoastal view, but on the whole I wouldn't recommend it.

Good food, overpriced
I went to the Cove on Friday night June 22nd at 6:30. Good tables were available and my friend and I got one near the water. The ambience was great, but the tables were crowded in, and when the place filled up, the room was noisy. Service did not match the price. Food was quite good, but overpriced. When we finished dinner both of us visited the restrooms, quite difficult with all the 20 somethings crowding the bar and not used to moving out of the way to let someone through. Valet service for the car ($3 plus a tip) was good, especially in this area where parking is a premium. For my next visit (I was in Deerfield Beach for 2 weeks) I would find other restaurants with equally good food but less noisy and better priced. Also, I was expecting a higher level of service, only because of the pricing.
