Great food, poor service
I went here with my family and friends based on a co-workers recommendation. On a hot 100 degree miami day, the a/c was broken when we arrived. The manager took out a huge fan and aimed it at our table to keep us cool. It worked and despite the broken a/c, the atmosphere was nice. I heard about the beer cocktails and when I asked the waitress for a recommendation, she said "none" and that she didnt like any of them. I ordered one anyways, since my co-worker recommended them and it was definitely a unique treat. Nothing to rave about, but worth trying. Food wise: I had the fried pickles which were delish. Then again, anything fried is good. I also had the mediterranean burger, which is a ground lamb burger with feta cheese, grilled onions and spinach. By far, its the BEST burger I have ever had. It was amazing. My husband and friends all had the traditional 8 oz burger. Those who actually got to eat their burgers, found them to be tasty. However, ordering a medium burger got you something much closer to medium rare (mine included but I was ok with that) and one of the burgers had to be sent back not once, but two times and ultimately rejected totally. The waitress was not apologetic at all. Reminder: it takes 20 minutes to cook the burgers, so that did not make any of us happy and after the 2nd try, we gave up and my girlfriend ended up picking off of her husbands burger and her kids grilled cheese. Which, by the way, the grilled cheese was delicious and made with real cheese and good bread (not white bread and kraft american cheese). The fries were also very good. During the course of the meal, and even though we were litearally the only customers in the restaurant at the time, the waitress never once came over to check that everything was ok. We had to raise our hands (like in class) and even send over one of the kids to get her, when we needed something. She never came by to refill our water glasses. The bill was screwed up and when we pointed that out, the manager finally came to apologize for everything and gave us some cupcakes to compensate for the service we recieved. At least the manager was nice. Overall, other than the mishap with the one burger, I have to say that the food was great. Despite the shoddy service, I will be back for that lamb burger. if it were not for the unfriendly waitress and the screwed up burger, I would have given it 5 stars.

not your mama's burger
good beers and nice looking place but don't get carried away, it's a burger joint... that's what they're good at. we tried the melrose which was very good. we also ventured to have the slider sampler which turned out three dry and not-so-tasty mini burgers and also had a tres-leches cupcake which was topped with way too much caramel (tres leches never called for caramel) ...and service was SLOW ... no it wasn't cause they make everything to order... it's cause the server forgot we existed

Burgers cant pay rent
Been to this latest outpost on a few occassions as know all too well of the recent burger train that is plowing its way into mainstream fads, but this one was only so -so and as far as other items on the menu they are good (ie artichoke) but this aint no veggie or chicken place nor is it the caifornia Go Go that has made the chef in some eyes a celebrity yet not mine-As far as local place how many burgers will he have to sell every day to pay the rent-Locals we already had ana amzing burger place and talk about hole in the wall, keep on flippin em Cheeseburger baby

Hmmmm... Interesting
It was different!.. Not your average hole in the wall eatery. The price is right for the fact that they do provide table service.Would I eat here again? I'm sure I would. I already found a really kewl hole in the wall to eat at but this I think will be the one when I come down to SoBe for work.

And this place is supposed to be good?
Walked in and there were empty tables and they told us there was a 15-20 minute wait. The service was not good, we waited about 25 minutes just to order and about 45 just to get water on the table! On top of all of that and getting up 3 times to complain to the manager for the poor service, the whole order came out wrong. I would NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant to anybody!

Woo Hoo!
I'm excited to have found the one thing that seems to have been missing from SOBE... As a local, I'm always looking for great holes in the walls not meant for tourists and I found my new fave burgers and beers place close to home. The experience at 8 oz burger was wonderful. Our server, Eric was very attentive and even open to suggesting toppings for my lamb burger that was to die for. We also tried the truffled potato skins that were wonderful. To cut a greatstory short, 8 oz burger is my new spot for Saturday night calorie overloads! Good beer, great burgers and wonderul service...
