I've been going to A Fish Called Avalon since almost 10 years ago, and is always my favorite for its romantic atmosphre, excelent food and service. I always advice my friends to take their dates or anniversaries to this restaurant.

Have been going to South Beach every year for many years. A Fish Called Avalon is the first restaurant I go to when I arrive in South Beach. Amid all the hokey restaurants that have Hawkers standing out front showing Buick size lobsters and Bathtub size drinks stands A Fish Called Avalon. It is civilized, classy and the food is fantastic. The appetizers are delicious and the fish is nothing short of fantastic. Its fresh, flavorful and presented beautifully. The service is professional and pleasing. It is not the least expensive restaurant on the strip but it is worth the price. This is a must eat when you are in South Beach.

As a full-time South Beach resident, I can say with confidence that A Fish Called Avalon is a must for anyone visiting the beach. It is one of only two restaurants we frequent on Ocean Dr. The food is always outstanding. Fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection, never, ever been disappointed. Service is fantastic, with servers who have been with Avalon for years, know the menu inside and out, and go out of their way to provide an unforgettable dining experience. The wine list is comprehensive, and not outrageously marked up. The food prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity, especially relative to some of the "big name" restaurants in the area. Call ahead for reservations for a table on the patio. Great people watching from above, and more intimate than the sidewalk tables. Give them a try, you'll be happy you did.

When guests come to the hotel and ask for good seafood with an opportunity to do some people watching I always send them to A Fish Called Avalon. It's location can't be beat and the fresh selection is to die for. The live entertainment helps the ambience as well.
