The food is good, the atmosphere is fine but... We arrived about 15 minutes earlier than our 7pm reservation and were told that we could not be seated until 7 although the table was empty. We were shunted to the bar to await the 'appointed hour.' The drink menu is significantly overpriced...each drink is priced almost equal to a 750 ml bottle at retail e.g. Santa Margarita Pinot Grigio. Having not left a tip, the bartender had the temerity to ask us for a 'gratuity', which we foolishly provided. He said that the bar was not part of the restaurant, the tab couldn't be put on the restaurant bill, and indicated that he wasn't paid by the restaurant. When our table was ready 'at the appointed hour' the bartender was nowhere to be found so we brought the drinks to our table ourselves. The food is good, the atmosphere is fine...but I wouldn't return.

My husband and I looked forward to using a gift certificate and were not happy with the quality of the food. Minestrone soup had no flavor. My entree tasted of ammonia. The veal Marsala sauce was bland with little or no Marsala though the veal was good. High prices and mediocre food quality. Ambiance was lovely though.

My husband and I had dinner on oct.13th using a gift certificate. We have high praise for the ambiance and service. However the food was poor. No flavor in the minestrone soup.

The experience we had last just goes to show how low this restaurant has fallen. Our waiter was rude and the host didn't even care what two customers of seventeen years thought of their dining experience. The food came out stone cold after waiting an hour to receive it. The people at the next table were just as angry as we were. The once elegant restaurant is now just a memory. Two hundred dollars just doesnt buy what it used to.

We were looking forward to a nice meal at an upscale restaurant. Arturo's is a very pretty place. The wait staff are well dressed and courteous. In other words, the initial impression is a very positive one. A bread basket was placed on our table with butter and a small dish of pesto...the pesto was delicious. The bread, however, tasted like a poorly made in-house product. We started off with an appetizer of fried calimari and small shrimp, which were o.k., but came with an overly spicy, unappetizing marinara sauce. I ordered the mixed grilled seafood plate, which came with a small bowl of their marinara sauce, which is runny and tastes something like loose ketchup. The worst part of this plate was, that every piece of seafood was totally overcook...DRIED OUT! To add insult to injury, as we left, the host and the hostess barely turned around to say goodnight, and, of course, nobody was interested in asking whether we enjoyed our meal We will never go back.

Outstanding food, service and decor with frequent evenings of live music. Worth repeated visits. Good value, valet parking and great happy atmosphere
