    This place is a gem!

Last night was our fourth visit to Bash. We took some friends with us - one of whom is in the restaurant business. Two of us had the tuscan pork loin along with the scalloped potatoes and the sauteed spinach. One had the meat loaf and the other had the apricot chichen. Everyone was impressed. Prices are low and quality is high. I think they might do better in a better location - Bash is in a small nondescript strip center. But we will return again and again.

    Great food from local cafe

Friends and I had a great first visit to Bash Cafe for dinner on Saturday, just before going to see Julie & Julia (it is a good thing we ate 1st!). The service was excellent, our server was extremely attentive. The food was so well seasoned, which does not seem to happen much anymore. I had the Bash Pasta with shrimp. I am often disappointed with shrimp dishes, but could eat this a few times a week! It is definitely worth checking out if you would like a well prepared meal!

    Diamond in the rough

All I can say is WOW! The food here is amazing. Last night a friend and myself went to Bash for diner. The previous reviews are right on the mark. Greeting in a quick and friendly manner. We chose many of the items the previous reviewers mentioned, starting with the spinach/cheese appetizer. Yum. She had the grilled chicken/appricot and I had the pecan crusted chicken with cole slaw and sweet potato fries. They were excellent and served piping hot. For desert we had the brownie filled deep fried raveoli with ice cream and choc drizzle. The food is definitely high caliber and the price very modest. Hats off to the chef. Met a nice couple there that keep coming back and they said you would never be disappointed with anything on the menu. We wern't and certainly will be coming back again and again.

5 Star Food and Service at a 2 Star Price

BASH was a definitely a pleasant surprise, and a lesson in not "judging a book by it's cover." From the outside, you would never know what's cooking inside. But everything was! A very friendly staff greeted and served my family (a group of 9) a delightful, delicious assortment of dishes in a very casual atmosphere. (No need to dress up.) From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was great. Meatloaf, sirloin, chicken, and salads....all excellent. And the sides, sauteed brocolli, smashed potatoes, au gratin potatoes... For dessert we shared the Thai doughnuts and a brownie that is served ravioli-style with ice cream...truly remarkable! Not a huge wine selection, but the recommended choice was a perfect suggestion. And all this at an extremely reasonable price. Not easy to get to, if you do not know where you are going. It is in an older plaza on the NW corner of University Drive and Oakland Park Blvd. in Sunrise. But all worth it.

    Great food.....no atmosphere

The food was excellent...well prepared with excellent flavors. Restaurant has no atmosphere...tables were similar to fold out type with black vynil tablecloths, chairs were black metal with black vynil, walls were empty (two or three pieces of wall art in entire place). Lighting was dim in an unpleasent way. Nothing was cohesive. The place was relatively empty yet the service was still not outstanding. If this place had some type of style, it would be perfect.
