I brought mother and her new husband to bettys a few years ago from New Jersey and they told me they love that place. A buddy of mine worked out in Fort Lauderdale and we had a taste for oxtail so I told him I remember that place and when we got there the place was empty we were the only 1 sitting down to eat that should have been a sign. The portion was so small they give you just enough even with the corn bread and drink. I was very disappointed and I would never go back there again not even if they promised us free food sorry it's only a shell of its former self

I visited Betty's in January 1988 with my ex-husband and children. We were the guest of the late Willie Neal Johnson(Good Friend of my Ex) of the Gospel Keynotes (Gospel Show At Dillards HS Gym) The food was just so perfect.. everything was delicious! The atmosphere was nice and cozy with lots of Olde Southern Charm. We met the owner as well that Sunday. She was so kind and down to earth. Hope to visit again soon, as have not live in the area for over 24 years.

Omg... Betty's dosen't get enough credit... from their fried food to their seafood, fantastic!! Makes me feel at home. I never buy to go, I always eat in. I mean its not fancy but i feel so at home, it has an old school twist to it with the hold juke box playing all the classics but its still new school at the same time with all the flat screen tv's they have surrounding the place. Food is awesome. Whoever that guy is back there, I want to propose a marriage to him because lord knows I'd kill for a man that can cook like that... You want soul? and especially foriegners that miss that home cooking from mama.. You better hit Betty's!!!
