Big Pink Restaurant

My mother and I came here on a whim because we were hungry and Big Pink got pretty good reviews on another site. Well, those other reviews were wrong! We ordered some chips and guac for an appetizer, which were enormous but average in taste. Very bland. Our entrees were just ok. The worst part was the unbelievable service. It almost seemed like a joke, it was so bad. We were seated in a booth by the waiters station, and we could see and hear the wait staff arguing with each other the whole time we were there. Obviously there was some sort of feud going on amongst them, and it was so obvious that we could even tell who was teaming up with who. There seemed to be a "ring leader", a very rude woman who was picking on and trash talking another waitress the whole time we were there. And the icing on the cake came when That same rude waitress (who was not our waitress, BTW) spilled an entire tray of gigantic sugary soft drinks all over my mom and the people at the table next to us. She did not apologize, offer us a towel, or show any sympathy whatsoever. In fact, she was acting like SHE was the one who was inconvenienced. My mom wrote a small note to the manager about our bad experience and gave it to him and explained the situation as we were leaving. Worst of all, there were staff members eavesdropping on our conversation with the manager and smirking. Also, the whole time we were standing there talking to the manager, that very rude ring leader was standing in the back, glaring at us. The entire time. It was very, very uncomfortable and we couldn't get out of that place fast enough. Obviously wait staff is running all over management and they are just sitting back and letting it happen. Unbelievable!

I've been working in the service industry for years, and the level of service that I constantly receive at Big Pink is poor, not only when I'm there, but when I order for delivery, they have no care for their customers and are rude. Not to mention that it is almost impossible to get anyone to answer the phone. I will never go back or order from Big Pink again until they get their staff in order.

Stayed in South Beach right down the block from Big Pink. Food was very good and the portion size is enormous. The service was poor, slow. Waiters and waitresses openly could be heard talking about their tips or lack of. We even gave the place another chance and went back b/c we liked the food. The second time I asked the waitress to bring me a new coke b/c I felt she had brought me a Diet and she argued with me and said she had not.

Bartender made wife a frozen drink, and instead of pouring the excess into another glass and giving it to her, she poured it into another glass and drank it herself (i'm sorry, but who's paying for this?). The food took too long to be served, and when the it finally arrived, the kids pizza was good, and the chicken sandwhich was big but somewhat dry. Staff seemed a little unfriendly, and I overheard two of them complaining about their tip. One of which was our waitress who wanted a tip (which should be a gratuity for good service, which was less than average) on our entire bill eventhough the majority of the bill was for the drink that we got from the bar ourselves and already tipped the bartender, and a shirt that was purchased from the front greeter which we also got up and purchased ourselves. Big Pink has a lot of potential, too bad the employees don't show that they care enough too make it work.

I love Big Pink! I always come here whenever I come to South Beach. The portions are huge and they have lots to choose from. They also deliver and they're open late on weekends!

love the location the diner vibe is great and their food is awesome; though a little pricey, you get what you pay for & it's worth it

I had the salad with salmon; it was disappointing. Iceberg lettuce which was welted by the way.Don't get me wrong, the quantity was in abundance, but quality lacking..
