It's always a pleasure to find good puertorican cuisine. A bit pricey; however, quality and delicacy goes along w/ the price. To previous reviewers, if you're in a rush to eat go to Pollo Tropical "fast food". Also, please use proper word verbiage.

    its all about quality

ok i been to borinqueya for the last five years and i think everythime they are getting better , the food might be expensive , but its becasue we are paying for quality. and they are not other puertorican restaurants around. we as puertorrican we have to contribute so the bussines can stay afloat. if you dont want to pay for quality go to a cheap restaurant to see if you get the same.

    Much too expensive

This place needs to realize that times are tough and get with it! Their prices are way too expensive and the quality of the food is not the same plus the quantity has decreased. So you get less food and not great taste for your money. No wonder the place is always empty and then you wait forever to get your food. The service is no good. I know lots of people who quit going there anymore.

    Way too expensive

I loved going to there place back in 2005 but ever since then I have not gone back. There food is ok we only one puertorican restaurant in Davie unfortunately and there food is too expensive. If you order the alcapurria you pay like $3-$5 now and it's so small. They really need to get it together and have some daily specials or something because the place is always empty.

Used to be a great place...not anymore

This used to be a great place to eat. Unfortunately they changed chef's and the food is not so great. The service is atrocious! the waitresses are always in another world, not attentive at all. I had order a mofongo (which use to be delicious) and I did not even got to eat it. It was not good, the alcapurria was burnt. And eventhou we were the only ones in the place the service was slower than molasses. Hopefully they will have some improvement, beacuse it use to be a wonderful place to eat.

    Excellent & Tasty!

I am a puertorican born and raised in the island and always remember very dearly my grandmother's and mother's food. It tastes just like my mom's. Very authentic, tasty and well presented. Nice ambience and great service. 100% recommended!
