    Better than Expected

Having just moved here from outside New York City, and having gone to some of the best restaurants in NYC, I didn't know what to expect from Bova. First, was it NYC? Hell no. Was it better than I expected? Yes. The food and presentation was excellent. I did the dining out menu, but was still very pleased. The waiter gave decent suggestions, but his wine suggestion was only adequate at best. Would love a sommelier there. Decor was nice. What shocked me, versus NYC, is how charming and nice every individual that worked there was.. Friendly, inviting...not NYC. The dessert was great at well, and the waiter was very attentive and helpful throughout. Only downside to this was after dessert they took about 25 minutes to bring me the bill and then another 15 to take my credit card. Either way, it beat my expectations, and I enjoyed the dinner overall. Might go back for some Kobe Beef...

    Overpriced but trendy

I've eaten here twice, both times I wondered how my bill was $150 for 2 people. Both times I thought definitely was not a $150 meal. It's very trendy & supposed to have a really awesome Ladies Night on Thursdays [I cannot attest to this however]. Food is 'not good' for how much it is.

    Top Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

We are the fan of the Bova Prime, its nice to know that Fort Lauderdale finaly got a place that make you feel like NYC or LA. Food is made fresh per order and ambiance is absolutly magnificant. Bova have the best Happy Hour on the entire Las Olas. Great bar croud on Thursday and Friday. Thank you Bova Prime Alex

You have to be kidding me

The short ribs over pasta was pure fat and gristle and the broccoli rabe was mushy and tasteless. The lobster bisque was tinny tasting, and there were a few shreds of lobster meat, but not the chucks of lobster you expect in a luxury dish like this. The meat dishes (veal and beef) where nothing special, which, for the prices charged, a diner should expect something great. Service is diffident, bordering on uninterested - no attention to details like keeping water glasses filled, checking on drink refills (a sin as you make your money on the bar!). Way overpriced, poor food and weak service – my group is not going back.

    Poor Dining Experience

I was so excited to try this restaurant for my birthday! We went on a Sunday evening. There were about five tables seated on the outside patio and not a single person inside. Usually this would be a sign that you will receive impeccable service .... not here! We ordered a bottle of wine from the 23 page wine list only to find out ten minutes later they were out of it..as well as 4 other $150 bottles of wine we choose. We finally choose one they had in stock but it took another fifteen minutes to have it delivered mean while we had not even had water delivered. We settled and things were looking up as we ordered appetizers. However our waitress didn't know what four cheeses came on the formaggio plate but told us she would return with her findings. She never did let us know what we were eating! The table ordered the main course. Twenty minutes later our absent minded waitress let us know they were out of seabass which had been ordered by two people at our table. She asked what they would like as a replacement and didn't think to bring new menus. Before receiving our salads it became chilly. We asked if they would turn our heat lamp on. A man came out and said he was sorry but it was out of propane. We had to get management involved to get the tank changed and the looks let us know they were not happy about having to actually work! Our main course has now arrived and we had only finished half of our salads. They took our food back probably to sit under the heat lamps. The food here is excellent. I would recommend it to anyone. However I would never waste my time going back to have poor service.

    short cuts

..this restaurants takes major shortcuts such as using what seem to be canned ingredients and packaged mozzarella (isn't it a fancy italien restaurant???!! make it yourself !) ,and then charging top price ......

    overpriced

Although the happy hour prices are reasonable, after that very expensive. Even wine by the glass at the bar was $15 for a very average cabernet sauvignon.
