Dissapointing
After hearing good recommendations about this restaurant & scoping it out a day or two before dining Cafe Sole, I must say our party was dissapointed. The service was fair but when we asked for more bread & chumas butter,we were told that there was no more butter, than came back with one stating that's all we get so don't ask for more. Not really something you want to hear. The lobster bisque was watery & cheesy tasting. They ran out of vodka & the last bit my husband did get was watered down. The chocolate fondue was a small bowl of chocolate sauce. The food presentation was poor & the quality was fair to good depending on what was ordered. The atmosphere was nice , the meal poor, the menu made everything look great but it wasn't- iwakted to like it but couldn't .

Challenges
We had dinner last evening at Cafe Sole. Last night we ordered several bottles of wine from the list none of which were available. We finally sorted it out, though only because the sommelier found a bottle comparable to our selection. The food, on the other hand, was actually as presented on the menu and delicious. We would highly recommend the beet salad and the veal carpaccio in particular.
