    So happy

Candela is a gem in every way. The food is delicious. The chef is accommodating and the atmosphere is romantic. It is lucky that it is in a strip mall and out of the way or we would have never have gotten in!

A real pearl in Wilton Manors

I've been trying to go to this restaurant for a long time. Years went by until I finally decided to check it out last night with some friends from Miami. It was absolutely fabulous! The food, the decor, and the service all deserve a big "5"! Since we wanted to try a bit of everything in the menu we ordered different appetizers. Hard to tell you which one was best. From clams to Morrocon sardines, Spanish octopus and assorted "salumeria" we had a feast. The house wine was a good pairing for this flawless dinner. I strongly recommend Candela the best restaurant in the area! I will be back!

    Great journey

What a wonderful surprise..is a must on the restaurant list, excellent service, excellent food. I had the paella and I can say that is THE BEST I ever had, the wine recommended by the waiter was a great choice at very reasonable price. I had a wonderful time and this restaurant is on my prefered list from now on...great job.

Not sure where they are going with this place

Food was okay but I have had much better. Menu was confusing... are they Italian, are they Cuban are they spanish? Fusion is one thing confused is another. I would not return. Still looking for a good restaurant in Wilton Manors especially Italian.

    All glitter and no gold.

I am surprised by the good reviews. Wilton Manors has many great places to eat and have a glass of wine but this is not one of them. If all you care about is ambiance than this is the place for you. The owner/chef has done a great job making it look warm and comfy. However the true measure of long term viability is word of mouth and the only way that happens is with quality food at a fair price. This place does not have either. The prices are ala cart and you can easily spend over 100 for two people. The service was friendly (chef a little overbearing) but they made so many mistakes. It was not busy yet the soup was wrong, the food was bland. The pork smelled like it was past its due date, the bread was burned badly but they used it anyway under the tapa and even asked for a coffee and received an espresso. When my partner asked to take his portion home they said ok but threw it out instead. I guess that is for the better.

    Great Restaurant

After the first time I went to this restaurant with a party of six, everyone had awesome dishes. I craved the food and couldn't wait to go back. The location certainly makes you think twice about going there, but it's one of the better restaurants in the Ft.Lauderdale area. Love it!

A Chef That Is Proud And Should Be

A co-worker of my wifes has been going to this restraunt since it first opened. He asked us to join he and his partner a few weeks ago for some Tapas and wine on a friday evening after they were done work. I agreed to meet them there after my workout. When I pulled up, I wasn't that impressed, but as I got closer I saw a crowed little place full of smiles, full plates and white linen tableclothes. I walked in, and the aroma of good food hit me in the face immediately. As soon as I sat, these parade of dishes started to arrive. I was overwhelmed. A man and woman started explaining each dish in detail. At that point, I didn't care. None of us did. It was if we had forgotten every table manner taught to us as children. Reaching, grabbing. It was great. Every flavor was savored by each of us because we all like to cook and know how challenging it can be. When we were done we all sat in silence and just looked at each other like "WOW. My wife's friends were right. It was a great place. We got there just in time. It was getting crowded. The chef who we found out was the owner took the time to come out to make sure we were satisfied. He asked if there could be any inprovements.. A business man but a true chef at heart. We have guest coming into town next weekend. I'll be calling on Monday. Table for 10 please. I can't wait..
