Capt. Charlie will never serve a piece of fish after it's time. Always fresh, prepared as you like it, we can depend on the quality so take friends and visitors. There's a great wine list too. The appetizer list with unusual specials and old standbys is truly worth considering. One can share, or make a meal of one or two. The atmosphere is friendly and casual, the service prompt most nights except perhaps busy weekend evenings. There's often a wait on those nights. Occasionally a special dish or two doesn't quite work, but I forgive them, as most are terrific, as are the standards on the regular menu. Rely on the fish being mostly local and super fresh. My personal favorites are saute'd triple tail or hog snapper. They're served with tropical rice and beans and the fresh vegetable medley of the day. One can get double veggie or potatoes instead of rice if desired. Some of the other dishes on the huge menu may have other sides.

When we drove up to the restaurant, we expected a typical, fried fish platter place. We were so pleasantly surprised. We sampled 4 different apps based on our server's suggestions. Our taste buds were delighted by the variety of flavors in each one. The Reef Grill is on our list for every trip to this area of FL.

Incredible and creative fresh dishes w/ flair for a slight Caribbean spice. Wonderful place. Loved the black bean appetizer! In fact, dinner can be an assortment of their great appetizers quite easily. Highly recommended & worth the wait during the season.

I have been coming here once a week since my first visit. we asked the chefs reccomendation and he smiled and pointed at a menu. i had the daily wrap which was a shrimp in a coconut curry sauce. we sit at the bar and watch the food being made to order, I have not been for dinner but I hear it is great! I would recommend this to any seafood lover.

Finally, this most recent Florida sojourn, we learned our lesson. Five nights in Jupiter/Juno Beach...and ALL FIVE dinners at Captain Charlie's! Best kept secret: the french fries.

If you are in south florida the reef is a must. Freshest seafood; coldest beer. Best wine selection. You must go to their lunch place and ask the chef what he recomends. He is the most kind, fun to watch chef, and his food is cooked to perfection. Very personable and he represents the reef grill an south fla. better than anyone. Go for lunch and come back for dinner.
