ate there last night with my wife and kids.waitress was completely unprofessional, she brought our plates out before putting the dinnerware once the plates were out it took her about another 5 minutes to put out forks knives etc cetera. My wifes chicken Caesar salad was dry, my vaca frita had absolutely no flavor. The black beans that would serve to us were cold. I had to ask the waitress for an extra plate on 3 different occasions. She waited till we were done eating before she asked if everything was okay and if we wanted extra drinks or refills. This restaurant is in an incredibly nice part of the city the setting is excellent and has a lot of potential, but unfortunately the waitress at service was completely unprofessional. However I still decided to leave a small tip just because. No intentions of going back there anytime soon or recommending it to any of my friends.

We have been going to Casavana for over three years now, back when it was called Sergio's. We have yet to have a bad meal or less than friendly, good service here. We go just about every Saturday morning for breakfast and sometimes we grab dinner here as well. Everything on the menu is delicious, but the bistec empanizado, croquettas, tortillas, french fries, tamales, and cafes are some of the best I have found in Miami. The only criticism I have is that the parking lot gets packed sometimes because of the park next door. Make sure you ask for Alba or Lisette to get great service.
