Chalan on the Beach

The food was not only delicious and attractively presented, the portions were generous To top it off, it was inexpensive. People at the next table said that they are there almost every evening for dinner, and had enjoyed everything on the menu.

Other restaurants in this area advertise that they offer real Peruvian cuisine---not so. Their setting is quaint, but the food is authentic, and the portions are large. Service is pleasant, and the food always arrives to the table piping hot. Their ceviche reminds us of the ceviche served on the beaches of Peru.

Usually my favorite meal but not in this place. Chicken was not well seasoned and lacking in flavor. The plate also had no appeal. Have had this dish many times with Red and Yellow peppers sauteed in. Bread was served hot with Green AHI sauce which was awesome as usual. Place was packed, so maybe just a poor choice but very disappointing for my last night in Miami.

Loved the food. It was amazing and ended up ordering 3 dishes for 2 people and took home most of it. White sangria was fabulous. Great price for quantity. Very fresh!! Could share meals:)

I just spent a couple of weeks in Lima, so when I came back to Miami I was anxious to try Chalan. The flavors are excellent. Also, the service was very friendly. I definitely recommend it.
