Best German food around
This is truly authentic German food, not ersatz out-of-a-can stuff. Schnitzels and sauerbraten are consistently good. Be prepared for a feast you won’t be able to eat it all, so skip the appetizers unless you are going to share it. As tempting as it is, skip the bread, saving room for the entrée, as well as the multiple side dishes they insist that you order, unless there is something you really crave like the red cabbage which my wife adores. I don’t touch any of them. They have a wide variety of beers, but beware that they come in 5-6 sizes; if you don’t specify they will bring you about a 22 ounce one. I always ask for a small beer. Check their website. there is an endless parade of specials and coupons for almost every day of the week. Small parking lot in back, enter through the back door, down the narrow hallway to the restaurant. It is a small place, but you never have to wait long, if at all. It's kitschy and can get loud if crowded, but it's a beer hall place, not a Parisian salon. Highly recommend it.
