China Garden

The food was very tasty, hot and looked great. Was delivered quickly (no leaking gooey containers). The chicken fried rice that came with dinner combo was just right and had small tender chicken chunks. Chicken chow mein is usually the first dish I try at a Chinese restaurant for the first time, because it is so basic that they should be able to do it well. Very tasty, nice strips of chicken breast and shredded style vegetables (a little too much liquid). Sliced bbq pork was impressively lean and flavored with a sweet and tart sauce. Hot and sour soup was just that, well balanced. Could have used more veggies and pork and less tofu in my opinion. But if you like hot and sour, you should try this one. Phone ordering was fast and easy, delivery too. The veg egg roll was not good -- it was very tiny, like 3 small bites, and the taste and consistency of the inside reminded me of the frozen sort from any supermarket. Wrapper was more like a spring roll, but it was thicker, greasy and mushy inside. Try the regular pork egg roll - hopefully it will be more traditional. I have no idea if this is take out only or has a dining room. Either way, try it if you like good NY China Town style food. I lived 4 blocks from China Town for 30 years and this place was a good substitution.

China garden has been one of my favorite restaurants for many years. The owners Steve & Kitty are always very help full and willing to change items or add to existing one to please the consumer. My children that live out of the country make China Gardens their first restaurant of choice when coming to visit Boynton Beach. Prices are reasonable and affordable.
