City Oyster

I can't begin to choose my favorites! I absolutely love the scallops - it's a "lick your plate" dish. The appetizer, calamari, is the best I've EVER had, hands down! And don't let the yellow colored sauce put you off. It's not mustard, it's a garlic sauce and oh so delicious. Even the lobster roll is incredible. Everything here is so fresh. They even have a bakery on premises, so the bread dish and desserts coming out of there are freshly made and incredible. Desserts are fabulous. I really love the peanut butter pie (when they feature it), the creme brule, and the salted caramel chocolate pudding makes my taste buds sing. Definitely go there. You won't regret it.

I love sushi! Went there with some girlfriends and everything was just perfect. WE had a great time. Will definitely go back again soon

Lobster Fried Rice - One of their signature dishes. Flimsy little pile of not coherent white rice with julienned carrots and water chestnuts. Tasteless. NO Lobster in Lobster fried rice - just a baked? also tasteless (except a slight overcooked taste) tail on top. - Tasteless that is, except in was on a bed of overwhelmingly cloying Miso/Ponzu that obliterated everything. - $30. Starter of Maine lobster salad roll ($17) was OK but small and slow in coming despite a quiet kitchen. - Over 60 bucks with tip and I went to a fast food restaurant after for a plain grilled chicken sandwich.

I just recently returned to South Florida after being away for several years. My friends and I went to City Oyster one week night and enjoyed everything. The atmosphere, food and the service was great. We had such a wonderful experience that we decided this would be a frequent go to for our occasional girls night out. A little over a week later we returned. Only this time it was on a busy Saturday evening. Our experience this time was not as pleasant. The hostess obviously did not or could not handle the pressure of one of their busier nights and her attitude left much to be desired. The female bartender was even more inattentive. Overall every other member of the staff that we encountered including a couple of the male bartenders were very friendly and courteous. We did not go in expecting to have a different experience than our first but left satisfied and pleased regardless. We will return and maybe this was just an off night for the previously mentioned female staff members.

Love, love, looove this place! Fun, great food, great service! Unlimited mimosas sat for brunch. I'm a new local and I just can't get enough of the place!

Poor service, I asked which oyster she recommends and I was told she only had one oyster in her life and it wasn't there. I bought a bottle of white wine and she had no clue what it was. Food was mediocre at very best. Definitely won't go back!
