Gave this place 3 chances. Every time we went back it kept getting worse.Server was complaining about other customers to us, they never came to check on our table to see if we needed anything, or how we were doing, waited 10 mins on a slow night before we were even acknowledged. Save your money please, and go across the street. I don't care if dinner was free for life, I wouldn't go back.

They have great food. Most specials are amazing and different. Nice raw bar, always fresh. Good drinks, prices not bad, most of staff is knowledgeable. I would recommend.

I dined at Dave's Last Resort and Raw Bar with my family in 8/26/09. We were recommended the Churrasco (flank steak) Dave's style. It included an array of spices that sound like a great blend. So I agreed to try it well done w/steamed veggies and wild rice. For appetizer: crab dip, for my mother a seafood sampler, and fish fillet for my son. The appetizer was mixed up, we obtained the spinach dip instead, the Churrasco steak was medium, veggies were raw not steamed, and the wild rice was scrapped from the bottom of the pot burnt! Are you serious? Suddenly I felt awkward. The server who assisted our server brought out the appetizer and was in too much of a hurry to confirm if that was our order. Our server apologized profusely and brought out the crab dip, by then I was truly disappointed. I had to request the steak to be cooked longer, the veggies steamed properly, and a fresh serving of wild rice... because it was a celebration I did not want to make a scene, but my intuition urged me to get up and get out. When my dinner was returned the steak was exaggeratedly salty. The crab dip was salty as well... I tried to keep calm. My evening was spoiled, but I was not going to spoil it for everyone else. So, I tried some of my son’s fish… It was very good, but fried and I was not appetizing that! I tried the rice and veggies, it was good but I was so mad I could not enjoy it. My mother, who is blind, did not know I had not eaten. I could not finish my lousy Pinot Noir either; something I could have indulged by then. I paid the bill. I feel like such a fool for not arguing the $10 discount from a $100+ bill. Unfortunately this compromised the amount left to the server; she was nice but confessed about the mishaps. I think she was equally embarrassed about the issues and did not know how to handle it so that I would be pleased. Needless to say, for dinner, I will not return to Dave's, even if the were truly the last resort! And being I am not much of a drinker…what would be the purpose to return? This was a bad choice. Murphy’s 1st law in full effect! Too bad, because I just moved into to the neighborhood and had lunch there once before, the Philly Cheese Steak was decent and there Frozen Juices were nice.

I stopped into Dave's on a warm, sunny spring afternoon last year with no expectations. By the time I left, I wanted to try every item on the menu. The raw bar is cold and fresh, the fried oysters awesome, the wings, which come in 10 different varieties, very spicy and well executed. Lots of fresh fish prepared many ways served as an entree, in a salad, or over pasta. Even alligator on the menu. Burgers, made of beef, ground tuna, or fowl, all perfom. Cold beers on tap and a lively bar scene add to a comfortable environment. Kid friendly during the day. Even a kid's menu.
