    Food was like back home

I am so glad I found this hidden GEM. It's not easily noticed from the street but i'll never forget it. Initially I thought I was just going in for your basic soup and sandwich shop boy was I suprised!! I was greeted by the friendly staff when I arrived and when I left. The Beef Brisket was just coming out of the kitchen and smelled incredible. I ordered a Cup of Matzoh ball soup and the Brisket platter. I got a large portion with a side of pickle and NY style potato salad not to mention the Aujus and some ryebread for dipping. The last time I had Brisket that good was at home. I am going back to try there signature Red Russian Sandwich. Place got busy during lunch so I am glad I got there a little before everyone else.. I am getting hungry just thinking about it. Gotta go back there today!

    Not recommended

Ordered a grilled Red Russian (a rueben with corned beef, pastrami and colesaw). What I got was tasteless toasted bread, 4 small pieces of bland pink gristle slathered with the most unappetizing coleslaw in the history of the world. No kidding, it was like Stevie Wonder was tripping on acid while hacking up the cabbage that was then drowned in watery mayo. With a Coke, got to fork over $14 bucks. Never again.

    Not worth the time

This place has the most tasteless food ever i think it is the low quality meats they use.

    Very good NY style deli

This fairly new Boca deli has excellent food, and a clean, bright atmosphere. Their corned beef is not salty, but cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious - as are the fresh meat, seafood and vegetable salads. The menu is extensive, and the food is fresh and very soul pleasing. Stop by for breakfast and enjoy wonderful omelettes or reasonably priced good morning specials and that perfect cup of coffee. The staff is exceptionally nice, and the service is good. Deli On Rye is a most welcome addition to the area, and I have have been a regular customer there for the past few years, since they opened. And, of course - there is take out - of almost anything they serve. Treat yourself to something special.

    Skip it!

If you like the NY Yankees you will enjoy the photos by the restrooms. The owner was once a miniscule partner with George Steinbrenner. As for the food, find some place else. The corned beef and brisket were tasteless, not even salt and mustard could help. There is no service at all--it took 5 minutes to get the cole slaw switched to the macaroni salad that was ordered, which was a waste of time since it too was no good.
