dissapointed
This was our third time at Devito's, so we were expecting nothing but the best. The Appetizer was excellent. After that the dinner went south.... My seafood pasta had cheese on it... Anyone who knows Italian cuisine knows that you don't put cheese on seafood pasta... (unless you request it). My husband ordered the branzino in balsamic sauce. Brazino came in olive oil. We told the manager and all we got was that the chef had changed the menu, but never printed it.. So what we ordered was not what we got. Manager didn't want to comp the entree. I guess customer service is out since the economy is so bad. Plus he had to comp all night long since many of the entree were wrong..... Not going back for a long, long time....If ever

Australian Wagyu Not Good
Sat outside upstairs. OK, not terribly comfortable. Large Meatball appetizer was very rich and tasty. House Salad was also good with just the right ingedients. Chilean Sea Bass Oscar entree had a very rich, heavy sauce but very tasty. The 8 oz. Australian Wagyu Rib Cap Steak was not good at all. It had a mealy, almost like it had a cheap tenderizer poured over it. Sent the steak back and ordered the Chicken Limone which was fine but somewhat dry. The Tiramisu and Cannoli desserts were very average, nothing special. Overall, a very expensive restaurant seemingly run by an inexperienced staff.

Good job Danny
I was very impressed with Devito. The caprese salad was awesome. They servie the tomatos on the vine and they were, quite possibly, the sweetest tomatoes I've ever encountered. The jumbo meatball was an excellent appetizer as well. The wagyu steak was prepared perfectly (very nice marbling as well). I particularly enjoyed how the steak was served with a roasted bulb of garlic. While the steak was plenty favorful alone, the garlic was an irresistable addition. Coming from Italian descent, I felt that the restaurant pulls off a second/third generation Italian vibe (e.g. San Gennaro dessert [select]ion, "Sunday Gravy" dish). It didn't try to be overly "authentic" Italian like many restuarants try (and often fail) to do. I liken it to an upscale version of grandma's cooking. Service was decent. Drink and wine ordering felt rushed, but I feel this is a problem at most restaurants. The flat-screens offering clips of Danny Devito movies was a welcomed, campy touch. How can you not enjoy a great meal, when "Throw Momma From the Train" is playing on the wall? Highly recommended.

excellent
I had read a lot of reviews about Devito's and they were all true. The food was excellent. We were a party of six and everyones meal was excellent. The only thing that was just not up to par was the steak, but everything else was excellent....

Excellent!
I have been to DeVitto's three times... the tomato and mozzarella salad is to die for. So is the spinach gnudi. Great pasta choices for vegetarians.
