Dolores was a "dolor"
So we ordered appetizers. My husband ordered serrano ham croquettes, but got bechamel sauce croquettes with mini sprinkles of ham inside. Sent those back. I ordered the soup of the day which was Pasta Fagioli. It tasted like canned red beans mixed with plain pasta. Also disappointing! I asked for the Kobe beef sliders, expecting about 3 or 4 like they serve everywhere and got only 2 for $25, a bit overpriced. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin with sweet potato mash. Mash tasted like perfume and pork was not tender. Not a place to eat! Maybe to sit down outside and have a drink. Stay away from the food menu. Que dolor!

Not recommended for large groups
My friend recently had his birthday on the second floor area of Lolita's. We were a group of 20 people. His girlfriend had an agreement with management prior to the event that our party/group would receive unlimited Hors d'ouvres with everyone paying $20 each. Drinks would be seperate, and each individual would have to pay what they consume. Although I found the price to be a little high, it was one of my best friends birthday, so I said I would go. When my girlfriend and I receive our check within two hours of arriving, we were shocked. We had two amaretto sours (one each) that were served in tiny honey containers (around 4oz each, at most) and we got charge $36 dollars. Thats not the bad part, one of the parts that made this night disappointing was that the waitress charge my credit card without asking and did not give me a receipt for me to verify what they were charging me. I cannot belive the two SMALL drinks cost $36 even with tax and tip. Then the bill came in for the "unlimited" Hors d'œuvres, $425 for just four plates. Four plates, thats what they called unlimited. I was starving and was only able to eat 3 tiny pieces of chicken (which were really good by the way) and 2 pieces of tiny tomatoes with cheese (this was ok, really no taste). At the end of the night, I paid $76 for my girlfriend and I ($20 each for the Hors d'œuvres + $36 in drinks). Although I did not get harrassed by the management I felt weird when the manager hovered over the group to make sure everyone was paying their bills. She would stand and stare at everyone but would not answer any questions or supply us with receipts. This was one of my hangout places. I would go to the downstairs area all the time. They have good music and was a good feel, but after that night I will never return to this place. If you really want to go for some reason, just chill downstairs and drink at the bar.

disappointing
the restaurant is nice, but the food is just ok, when you get is cold and not much of a test, is very expensive for what you get, the menu is very limited, only chicken and salmon, rice and vegetables, would not go back to eat, maybe just for a drink,

Amazing!
I have no idea why there are so many negative reviews here. Food is delicious! Service is always great. Just make a reservation, it takes two seconds. This is my favorite place in Miami.

Painless "Dolores" w/reservation
This is a very good restaurant overall. Been there many times. I like the menu concept of 2 dishes inclusive. Food is excellent and well presented. Very nice on the wallet. Our friends enjoyed it, but unfortunately the A/C was broken that night...very unconfortable inside. Upstairs, outside dining is good on a breezy or cooler night.

Subpar Food and Service, But a Good Happy Hour Deal
I went here on a Wednesday night with a couple of friends. At first we sat at the bar, and we were suprised at the great price for Happy Hour drinks. Very inexpensive. But then we moved to the outside and it was all downhill. The service was not good. There were many waitresses standing around chatting and one that seemed to wait on every table around us. We finally order some of the apps and it was they tasted like they were warmed up in the microwave and then sat around for awhile. I wont be going back and that is too bad since it is so close to my condo.

Amazing!
The moment I walked through the doors I began to love the restaurant. The atmophere was great. I love the quotes running throughout. The service was good, shockingly quick, but none of our orders were messed up and everything came out delicious. Our waitress wasn't friendly, but she was extremely professional and was very attentive. For the price, the food was great. And the desserts definitely ended the dining experience well. I recommend it! I know I'll be there again soon.
