Best Chinese food in Fort Lauderdale
Not the nicest restaurant in town by any means, but if you want great Chinese food, you have to give this place a try. Eggrolls are made fresh daily, never frozen. By far the best in Broward. Not even close. Also my favorite place for hot and sour soup. Excellent egg drop soup too. I have a few friends who drive 40 minutes to eat here with me just for the hot and sour soup. Pork fried rice is also at the top of list here. Not greasy like most places. While many of the dishes are hit or miss (like any restaurant) other dishes I find them to have mastered are: sweet and sour chicken, moo shoo pork and cashew chicken. Overall, this is easily my favorite Chinese restaurant in Broward, and I've been to a bunch in the past 30 years. I highly recommend giving them a try.

A local gem more people need to discover!
This business has been here for over 30 years. We eat out a lot and the quality of their food can stand up to any fancy Chinese restaurant. The owners are hard working and they look to serve. These are humble folks with a real talent for creating great Chinese dishes! We love them! You must try their Bean Curd Shrimp! Fabulous!

Not recommended
First, they dont deliver so I had to drive all the way there. I got the honey garlic chicken dinner it was ten bucks. The chicken had absolutly no flavor, there was no sauce. It was just warmed up breaded chicken which they charged me an extra 1.25 to add egg. Complete waste of money.

Delish
I have been eating here since I can remember. This is a local gem. The food is amazing, authentic and consistently great. The interior has not changed much since I was a child going here, but its quaint and homey. I have never had a disappointing meal here in the 25 years I have been eating here. Some of my favorites are the honey garlic chicken, cashew chicken, roast pork lo mein, szechuan beef, egg rolls, wonton soup, special fried rice and of course their hot tea. Do not let the older appearance fool this place has exceptional food with great prices and friendly service.

Your Chinese Grandmother's Kitchen
You know what Grandma cooks. She has her way of making certain dishes, she never disappoints and she always serves up generous portions with a smile. This is why you come to Dragon Tea House. When I come to eat here, I'm not expecting anything exotic or novel, I 'm coming here because I have a yen for Roast Pork w/ String Beans or Shrimp w/ Lobster sauce. I need some solid pieces of pork in my Won Ton soup, a crispy Egg Roll and some Chinese Brabequed Ribs..... and I want them to taste just like my Chinese Grandmother would have been making them everytime I ever ate them in her house. I want the bowls of wide flat crispy noodles to keep coming with old style Duck sauce and fresh hot mustard. This is a traditional Chinese restaurant from the decor to the menu to the service. Wherever I have lived I have been fortunate to find one of these that still endures and can be counted on to make your meal exactly like you expected it. Look for the window full of Christmas lights at the end of this otherwise non descript strip center on the southside of Commercial Blvd just a few minutes west of Federal Highway in Ft Lauderdale. No sushi here; no Thai ; no buffet.....this is the neighborhood joint that I fell in love with a child in the fifties. The carpets a bit worn but there's still table cloths, cloth napkins and leather booths. It's comfortable to dine here with friends and family... you're not worried about how your dressed, the size of the check or whether your meal will taste good. Kinda like eating at Grandma's. I've been eating here since my kids were in strollers (they are now graduating college) and have enjoyed consistently well prepared food served with the same love by the the same owners since we set foot in the Dragon Tea House.

Good wholesome food and nice people
Place is a little old (same owners for 28 years) but the food is down right good and at a great price. Try the General Tso chicken - nothing like I've ever had before. You can tell there was care in developing the sauce. My wife had the cashew chicken and was raving about how good it was. Definitely try this place.
