    Subpar Dominican food in Kendall

I went on a Monday, cause the day before (Sunday), was so packed, that I didn't want to wait. I wish I wouldn't gone back. I had the Mofongo with Shrimp. The platano serving was small and the shrimps, even smaller. Not worth the price. My wife had the Chicharrones de Pollo. They came out burned and the was bones still in it. The Chimi was un-edible. It was smothered in onions instead of the Dominican slaw that should be on it. I would never return. First and last time.

    Best Dominican food in Miami

Been there twice and I can tell you the food is excellent. They serve you great portions and the variety is outstanding. They have great appetizers (try el Malecon) and the mofongo is pretty good too. The only thing they don't have on the menu is arroz con guandules which is so Dominican. However they have black bean moros (Cuban) which I think they need to get rid off and concentrate on all dominican food. Would like for them to add Empanadas de Mambi (conch empanadas) but hey, I'm asking for too much. Now the beer, oh yes, the beer is super cold (ceniza) and they have dominican sodas. Enjoy while they are new and fresh. I pray that they stay in business as it is such a good change from your typical Cuban/Colombian/Nicaraguan menu's of Kendall.
