El Pimiento

This is a great little, cozy tapas bar, I would love to come more often but is usually so busy that we go by and leave most of the times. They usually only have 1 waitress, max 2 working no matter how busy they are and I guess that the waitress is so busy that she tends to be not nice and does not have time for questions and one feels like she is rushing you, trying to get you out of there as soon as possible so she can get someone else sit. Food is incredibly good, quality and flavor are superb, Owner is very pleasant and Chef is great, not only is he a great chef but a very nice person too. We have been going since they open but the waitress situation does not improve, don’t get me wrong I think they are efficient for dealing with so many customers at one time, but when go to a place with the atmosphere and feeling like EL Pimiento, where you can relax and enjoy a good glass of wine and wonderful dishes, you don’t want to have a waitress rushing you out of there, especially when there is no other place like it around Miami Lakes and neighborhood areas.

Not many places could have a total of 5 stars all around but this little Spanish tavern crams it up. Jamon Iberico, great manchego cheese and others from the regions and an excelent wine list puts this tapas restaurant in the forefront of my monthly visits.

I stopped into El Pimiento on a Friday night. I had heard so many different people talk highly of this place and I had to check it out. Everything was more than I expected it to be... Except the size. I thought it would be much bigger, but it was small and so cozy!! So much detail in the decorations of the restaurant. It was perfect! The staff was very welcoming and attentive. I dropped my fork and i didnt have to ask for a new one. One of the waitees' noticed as she passed by. Not to mention the place was packed! The tapas were very flavorful and beautifully presented. Oh and the wine! Wine everywhere ... Definitely a place to kick back and relax and enjoy!I highly recommend this little hole in the wall!

This could sound like a wow, no u didnt but I will tell you that we visited this restaurant last Saturday. WE were very disappointed... So upset we got up and left our seats without no doubt. Service was subpar... restaurant was very, very busy but this was no need for at least a glass of something or piece of cheese to wait the rush. I believe they only have one server for the entire restuarant and she is not the nicest person. I came here because I had a groupon and will be getting my money back because this place is far from worth visiting. I DO NOT suggest this place.

I bumped into this small Spanish tavern two weeks ago today after grabbing a box of smokes at the convenience store next door. I over heard someone mention the word awesome & food! That was enough for me to go inside and get a take out menu... OMG... I discovered a gold mine! The food is delightful, ambience increditable and the service is the cherry on top. Well, i have been there 4 times since, there ya go. Im hooked!

My friends and i pick El Pimiento as our escape of regular city bars and pubs... only the elite go hang out here. I have seen the towns Mayor and his family more than once, and local celebrities go often as well. Great food, great wine list, great overall!

The food and the atmosphere is great, especially on the weekends.
