Great steak if they knew how to cook it

I just got back from a disappointing experience. I friend took us there for dinner. I was really looking forward to a great steak as we had always had great meals there before. Unfortunately, my Medium Rare steak came to me more Medium Well. I sent it back and was presented with another steak that was cooked exactly the same way....to well done. I gave up as my eating partners were then almost done with there meals and I didn't want to create a scene. I was surprised to find that our friend was still charged for the steak even though I didn't eat any of it. I'll be finding another steakhouse in the future.

    No reservations

Would not take reservations for a party of four, said it was first come first serve. We sat at the bar for over one hour as others who came after us were seated, after complaining we were given the worst table in the place, right next to the kitchen... Rude welcoming... never again... Not worth the trip.

    OMG...to die for restaurant

We got lost in the maze of construction in Delray and found this restaurant quite by accident on our way to another...what a find. We are going back within a week for Christmas dinner. Decorations rival Macys.

    Par excellence

I've been a customer of The 5th avenue Grill with my family and the service is excellent. Also, the decor for the Holidays is above par. Also, you have a variety of entrees to pick from. The servers are accomodating. It is a fun atmosphere to visit

A Classic to Visit Once a Month

This restaurant is a classic. They had the BEST caesar salad:a classic, great escargot: a classic, the steaks are fantastic, and classic recipes that are still wonderful. The atmosphere is priceless surrounded by wood and a wonderful piano serenade. The servers actually care about the patrons. My husband and I stumbled upon this gem and have kept coming back for years now. It's priceless!

    Mediocre at best

The food is overpriced with small portions and is mediocre at best. I would recommend a chain restaurant versus spending a few hundred dollars for just OK food. The wait staff and manager are rude. I complained about the small portion size (6 small shrimp for $37) and she replied "It is what it is." Save your money and go somewhere else!
