Food was good but not enough

I had dinner 2 days ago there with a friend. The place was packed so it must be good. Soup was excellent - both of them. Salmon with broccoli was the dinner, but no bread with it and it wasn't enough. Maybe for a child but not for an adult. Thank God we had a soup first. But it was very good.

    Best food in town

Excellent food and service - I ordered the turkey dinner and my wife ordered lamb shank. The turkey was moist and the dressing was delicious, the lamb shank was huge and fell off the bone. Great service, always came around with refills. The desserts are so huge we took half home

Worst turkey dinner ever!!! rotten coffee

Very disappointed in this place. First time and last time. I must have ordered the wrong thing on the menu - the turkey breast dinner. The most disappointing stuffing I ever had in my life. It had big chunks of bell pepper in it. The yellow gravy had nothing to do with turkey and the turkey itself was tasteless. I loved the salad, bread and butter and the carrot cake. Coffee wasn't good. Their brand must be really lousy and the coffee machine needed cleaning.

    Great food and service

I had breakfast and it was great, our party ordered the chocolate chip pancakes which were great, Waffles were delicious and all of our egg dishes were cooked to perfection. I recommend this restaurant. Sunday mornings are very busy

    Very disappointed

My boyfriend and I are local to the area and finally decided to give this place a try, sadly we were very dissatisfied with the food. He ordered the "Flashback Combo" which consisted of eggs, bacon (with or without sausage or ham; he got all bacon) and pancakes. The bacon tasted like cardboard, not sure how someone messes up bacon but it was NOT good, the eggs were unappetizing as well. The only good thing out of his combo were the pancakes. I ordered the eggs Benedict which I've had elsewhere before and loved, unfortunately this was not the case here. The hollandaise sauce was cold and flavorless unless you consider disgusting as a flavor. The eggs were undercooked and the ham tasted charred. My meal came with a choice or several options I selected the fruit so there was no disappointment there and I ordered a blueberry muffin on the side which I was thankful for because it was the only good thing I ordered. Overall we would NOT recommend this place to anyone going for breakfast, we didn't have any lunch/dinner type foods so we can't speak on behalf of how good or bad they are so if your interested give it a shot just avoid breakfast!

    My favorite diner!

I have dined at The Flashback for over ten years, maybe fifteen. I absolutely love the food! It tastes like home cooking. Some of my favorites are their burgers and the Ollie Burger. Always delicious. They have THE best chicken noodle soup. My brother always get the french toast or eggs benedict, and he loves it. I tasted it and it was perfect. They also have the best German Chocolate Cake ever, and I always get it. But there are tons of other fresh baked cakes and pastries, like from the good old days, and I'm not an old guy. I like the fact that the business is family owned, not a chain. Every time I go in, or my brother goes in, they give us a big smile and treat us so well. I have dined out all my life, and I know what's good, and this place is good. And now, they revamped the place with fantastic memorabilia. I live in Wellington FL but go to Hallandale three times a month, and I always make sure to dine there
