    solid- will be back

perhap they are on the way to getting their act together. had a pre-show dinner and it was overall excellent. for aps we had the zucchini flowers and the burrata. the zucchini flowers were good but for my taste the flour coating was a bit too much for the delicate dish. the burrata was amazing. for dinner we had two fantastic dishes. the tagliatella with veal and the osso bucco. the osso bucco ws great but didn't pair well with a risotto pancake- i would have preferred a grilled polenta, or even a std rissoto with goronzola. the wine was beautiful and reasonably priced. the tiramisu was perfect. downsides. no grappa!! although they had salumi and formaggio they didn't pair them well. i would have loved bresoala on a bed of arugula with shaved parmaggiano-- they had it all but couldn't put it together. will definitely go back i think they will keep getting better and i would love it to be my place for italian!! i'll let you know how i feel after try #2.

Wait til they have their act together!

I was seated at the bar where I was squeezed between two rather rude patrons that kept bumping their arm on my chest as they ate without apologizing. I was quickly presented with the wine list, and ordered a glass of wine, which was the smallest pour I have ever had. Of course I was quickly asked if I wanted another glass once I finished with my first one, feIt a bit pushy. The rest of the patrons around me were well taken care of, plenty of water, plenty of bread. I had to ask fo water and was never served bread. The Chef/owner approached both sides of the parties surrounded me (I was dining alone) I was not acknoledged by him at all. Ordered the sweet & sour beets, which basically were boiled dice beets on a plate, plain & no appetizing presentation for about $8.50, not many chefs can mess expensive diced boiled beets! As a main course, ordered the lemoned scallop rissotto, which was bland and soupy, the scallops garnishing on the top were actually tasty. Skipped the desserts.
