    Beautiful view.. Food : (

The View and location are the best part. Please ~ Do something about the food! Had to send my Ahi tuna back, then ordered a Lobster roll. Could not eat it. Dry and not appetising . I could only eat my French fries. Needs improvement and very disappointed. Paid and left. : (

    Loved It!

We were told to eat at Frigates by our hotel and we are so happy that we listened. The patio was so pretty with the lights in the palm trees and the lanterns with the fire. Made me feel like I was on a tropical island. The food was really good, we ordered the conch chowder to start and it was really tasty and large pieces of conch in it. My husband had the mahi rueben and he said it was the best he has eaten in a really long time. My entree was the clam linguini and it was spot on. The flavor was nice and the clams were tasty and plentiful. For dessert we shared the brownie crisp and it was pretty good too. I'm not a chocolate lover like my husband but i enjoyed it anyway. Overall for the amount and quality of food + the atmosphere (oh, and two glasses of wine) the bill was $100 bucks and that to me was a great value. We will definitely come back and recommend to others staying in the area. Thanks for a great So Flo experience.

    Not recommended

Food sat on our table for 25 minutes before utensils were finally brought out... i asked them to take away the appetizer i ordered at that point i no longer wanted it. another one was brought out that i didn't ask for... the server that brought the second dish was extremely rude when i said i didn't want it. i was told if ididn't like it.that we should leave and not come back.. i asked for a manager and as it turned out it was the same rude server.. all i can say is that i've never never had such a disappointing experience in my life. would have loved to comment on the food. never got to eat any

    Outdoor, sorta waterfront dining

Frigates is a neat little restaurant on a canal off of Northlake Blvd. Walk through the restaurant to the tables outside. Great umbrellas, and heater, for every season. Staff are young but they do try their best. Boaters dock or drive by on the little canal so there's stuff to watch (besides the ihop) too bad! Parking great, prices very reasonable! Lunch is empty, dinners/weekends can get jammed!
