In the land of the blind...
"In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king." With no competition, Gary Woo is free to serve overpriced, medicore food to those who know no better, or are trapped. When I was there, we wanted to each order a soup and then split a big main dish. They said we couldn't do it without paying a $5 "extra plate" charge. With drinks, our order came to about $40, but that wasn't good enough for them. If they were in NYC or any other city, they would be shut down in about a week. If any decent Chinese place opened here, they'd make a fortune. This place is for suckers, tourists and masochists.

NY Chinatown? I think not!
Unreasonably expensive, run-of-the-mill Florida version of so-called "NY Style" Chinese food. Subpar cold sesame noodles (overcooked American vermicelli with a splash of soy/ponzu), un-fried fried rice (pale grains never saw a frying pan for more than one second) with a scrap of egg thrown in, and, worst of all, a "Mongolian Beef" that in reality was pieces of beef so bland and tasteless I suspect they were steamed in water. Has Gary Woo really enlisted Chinatown chefs? If you've ever eaten in NY's Chinatown, you know that he's simply fibbing; these "chefs" would be laughed off Mott Street. Please, for the love of god, someone open a real NY Chinese place in South Florida! I've been searching for nigh on 25 years!
