Great food and service. Reminds me of my childhood when my parents would load the kids in the car and drive from West Palm Beach to Miami for good deli food. I hate to drive, thank goodness for the Deli House in Lake Worth.

This was the third time we got cold breakfast. I always order a side order of bacon which I was told was four pieces. Today they gave me three pieces for $2.50 which was cold by the way and then proceeded to tell us we could only have one piece of rye toast for each of us. I asked the gentleman who seats us and he brought us an extra two pieces of toast. I left my home fries because they were all burnt. The waitress was very rude and could not have cared at all that we were upset over our breakfast. The place was empty and we now see why. We have been eating here for the last 20 years and we have stood in line for over an hour to get in years ago. Those times will never come again and service and food like this is the reason why. We will now find another place to eat breakfast and I feel very sad that it has come to this.

My girlfriend and I decided to stop in last week for lunch. The restaurant was almost empty, which should have been my first clue that it was not good. We stood at the door for almost five minutes before we were even greeted. When we were finally seated we had to wait ten minutes before are rude server finally appeared. She smelled like cigarettes and was very aggressive. To top it all off, the cornbeef was old and dry and there was a half eaten pickle in the bucket on our table! I asked for a manager and when she came over she was rude and not helpful at all. She told me that the pickle was obviously cut, not bitten eventhough there were teeth marks in it!

I went in to eat with my family and it was the most disappointing experience I have ever had in a deli/restaurant. It took about five minutes for a server to even acknowledge my table. Hoping to blow it off, we decided to stay. My wife ordered the Brisket of Beef dinner and the brisket was as dry as could be. When we brought it to the attention of the manager, she responded by saying "You're the first complaint we've heard about it, there's really nothing I can tell you. That is how our brisket comes". Is that really a way to run a restaurant? She was very rude and the rest of the staff seemed miserable. While eating, you can see the servers just standing around or sitting, talking loudly at a back table. The owner came by to see how things were going, and we told him about our experience. He had a stuck up, pompous attitude and told us that they have "high expectations" for the staff they hire. We laughed, thinking he was joking. I'll never go back. Waste of time and money.

Been going to Gourmet Deli House for about 20 years; never once had any bad service or food. The corned beef and pastrami and brisket are superb and the sandwiches are humongous. Best chicken liver anywhere and love the takeout; I call ahead, go in and pick it up and go home to enjoy. Fabulous food and service.

I have been a regular customer of the "Gourmet" for about 15 years. There have been some new changes that seem to be working well. The staff is very friendly.

Because we live much further north (Hobe Sound), we rarely have the opportunity to eat at the Deli House, but when we have, it has been great ! But I phone in pickup orders regularly and everything is always perfect and of suberb quality !The staff is very friendly, accomodating, and my order is always packed & accurate when I pick it up. One of the best deli's I know of!
