Grand Lake Dim Sum Chinese Restaurant

This restaurant got our order completely wrong when we checked out. When we were trying to tell them what we ordered they constantly interrupted me while I was speaking. In the end, they still got out order wrong! This was the poorest service I have even received in my life. Never returning again.

I believe in 2nd chances but that is why the saying, " no good deeds goes unpunished..." applies to this place. I ordered from the dim sum paper menu the wonton soup which said $7.95. When I got the bill, I was charged $9.95. I asked the girl who I think is the manager/owner why the price discrepancy, she said that is the wrong price printed on the dim sum menu. She showed me another dinner menu the full price. I said that was not the menu I was given. Even the waitress who took my order brought the dim sum menu to show the mgt but she insisted on charging me the full price! I told her she cannot give her customer a menu w/ the wrong price and then charge them more and expect they will pay. She just kept saying, "its not my fault, the menu is the wrong price..." She was rude, apathetic, and I will not be going back here. Every review discussing the service is true about this place.

Service was slow. Servers were very rude! Waited about 15 minutes to even place an order, another 10 minutes to get our drinks, and that was after me following up. Server slammed the tea pot and cups on the table because he was mad! Food was soggy. Fish was not fresh at all!

If you are looking for great Chinese dim sum without going downtown, this restaurant is the best! Try the dim sum combo if it's your first time at this restaurant and you'll love it.

Last night a grieving (Mother's death) family enjoyed an absolutely wonderful, multi-coursed dinner at GLCC. Three of the six diners had been to China, all more than once, and a crtical bunch we are. Proudly. Beginning with the fine appetizers; Steamed Shrimp Dumplings, Steamed Pork Buns, Stuffed Eggplant, thru a melange of fish, pork, shellfish, etc. we were absolutely beguiled with the experience. This will remain on of our best dining experiences. I cannot applaud enough this fine evening.
