Not worth trying!
Went to Lake Park location after reading write up in Palm Beach Post. The fish was tasteless, definitely did not taste like grouper, had no seasoning at all. The side dish of pigeon peas and rice was white rice colored yellow with pigeon peas and absolutely no seasoning. Although the servers were friendly, the food was unappetizing. Definitely not worth trying!

Excellent Old Florida Place
It won't appeal to those looking for a fancy, upscale dining establishment. This is an "Old Floida" seafood that Florida used to be famous for. Unfortunetly those places have mostly been replaced by expensive places geared toward tourists. Do yourself a favor and visit the Grumpy Grouper to go back to a time when good, reasonably priced food was what was most important. And most importantly go for the Tuesday of Friday night "all you can eat" fried grouper special. Some of the best grouper I have ever eaten.

This was the worst dining experience we ever had.
We arrived 3 minutes after 3 and were told lunch was over but no dinner specials were ready. Then two people came in about 10 minutes later and received lunch, when I questioned this I was told they called ahead but I watched them order with the server so there goes that excuse. My husband's steak ordered med rare was well done by the time he got the new steak I was done eating and his potaoes were ice cold. will not go back

Grumpy takeout
Parents and I decided to try takeout today....mistake.. I love salt on almost everything and but their blackened dolphin was so salty it was inedible. I've had better at chain restaurants, and that's not saying much. Fried grouper had zero flavor. Save your time and money.

Snow birds
We love the grumpy grouper, every year when we return from the north. The grumpy grouper is the 1st place we go. Always greeted with a smile,the staff always remembers us from the previous year. Every season we go there 3 -4 times a week. Love the food and staff

Best seafood ever!
The wait staff are pros - courteous and on top of things at all times. The food is beyond compare: the selection can't be beat and you get a huge bang for your buck!

Great blackened fish lunch special
Cheap eats -- good quality fresh fish -- local watering hole. The kind of place where the locals eat and drink. Definitely not a fancy place -- kind of a dive -- unpretentious old Florida style fish house. The lunch specials start around $5 and that is a plate of food -- with nice blackened piece of fish and some zesty black beans and rice. Friendly service. I'd go back and would recommend to anyone looking for the best lunch specials around.
