The wait staff are pros - courteous and on top of things at all times. The food is beyond compare: the selection can't be beat and you get a huge bang for your buck!

Cheap eats -- good quality fresh fish -- local watering hole. The kind of place where the locals eat and drink. Definitely not a fancy place -- kind of a dive -- unpretentious old Florida style fish house. The lunch specials start around $5 and that is a plate of food -- with nice blackened piece of fish and some zesty black beans and rice. Friendly service. I'd go back and would recommend to anyone looking for the best lunch specials around.

Grumpy Grouper -- what you see, is what you get -- good food and an unpretentious, friendly atmosphere in a local bar. Our mixed drinks and wine were served in glasses -- no red plastic beer cups. Great value for the money. Ipswich clams were excellent, fried oysters were abundant and succulent. Fish & chips -- bring your appetite. Two huge groupers fried in tasty batter, moist inside, crispy on outside. We loved the cole slaw. Our waitress, had a wonderful "diner waitress" attitude that match her Boston accent. She was witty, pleasant, and handled the most demanding in our party with just enough sarcasm to be cute. When we want excellent gourmet food, we stay home and cook. What more can you ask from a medium-priced pub? We will definitely come back on our next trip.

I had business in S. Florida I was stayin at my brother-in-law's place around the corner from 'The Grouper' as the locals call it..We went in for a few beers and some food and met some great locals. They were very hospitable, food was ample and very tasty, and ambience was ....well...just FUN ! Pretty girls, bartenders who can pour a great drink (not stingy like that Ale Place across the tracks)...and good selection of juke box music as well as 'Motel Mel' and a great Celtic musician on St Pat's day playing some GREAT background Celtic music.... Highly Recommended !
