Totally fun place
Visited this restaurant for the first time with family and grandkids. Everything about the place was great. Food, atmosphere, not noisy, just a really fun place to go.I had the Raspberry chipotle pork chop, which was to die for. I just wished it had more of the wonderful sauce to dip that juicy pork chop in..The rest of the family either had the cobia or snapper, which were both fresh and delicious..

not relaxing
too complicated, all around commotion and noisy. great to bring the out of town friends for the "wow" factor but not my first choice if I want to talk and relax over dinner

Very Yummy!
The food was amazing. I had the macadamia nut coconut crusted grouper with plantains and mexican corn on the cob. I couldn't eat it all so I had to share with the people I was with. They also enjoyed their meals. This should be a stop on everyone's trip to Florida!

Great Atmosphere, Food is just OK
This place doesn't have any of the most common dinner staples--if you order a burger or other sandwich-type meal, you can forget about french fries, you will be receiving kettle-cooked potato chips. After paying a the price I paid for the meal, I should have gotten a whole bag of chips, but you only get a small handful. I guess it's supposed to be a healthy place. You're not paying for high-quality foods, you're paying for the atmosphere.

Good Vibrations
Came here for dinner friday night and it wasnt as crowded as I had anticipated, which was a relief from all of the things I have been told about the waits here. We waited about 45mins. I had a Cook Island something-or-other drink, it was fantastic, i'm not sure if they could have squeezed another kind of juice into the thing. The food lived up to the expectations and the music and all of the beautiful people scurrying around made for a great environment to enjoy our evening. We ended it with a Mexican Hot Chocolate! Outstanding!

Great, but long, long wait...
The wait on a Thursday evening at 6:15pm was 1 1/2 hours for dinner. For appetizers only, you could find one of many small round and log-shaped tables with stools for immediate service. That's what we chose. Six of us sat a bar table and it was kind of funny, but very cozy. The grouper sandwich was good, but the portion of grouper was very small - smaller than the bun it was served on. The ribs were very good. Overall, we love the refurbished restaruant, but will still miss the old small place it used to be. Guanabana has most definitely gone up several levels now with the liquor service and night crowds. Of course, the prices have risen. The service was excellent!
