Disaster
The food was not good. Maybe its because i come from an indian family and i'm used to the best but this didn't even come close even to my guests who were unaware of authentic indian food. The food was greesy, the manager gave us some complimentry ocra which he said was 'very nice' it was drenched in oil. The lentil soup was flavorless along with the chicken tica. The chicken curry was by far the best we tried but it was still very oily. The fish was very creamy but lacked spice.

you should try this restaurant
i eat there often, the food is fantastic, you must try the tandoor plate and chicken tikka masala. Vegetables somosas are to die for, also the vegeterian people (i am not) would love this place filled with excelent dishes such as palak paneer and the best is malai kofta that comes with naan and a lentil dish. some may find the menu a little bit more expensive than a common indian restaurants, but quality is far better and remember you are in ocena drive, south beach which is a super prime location

what a dissapointment
As an Indian food lover I was very very dissapointed to vist Ishq. All the emphasis is on the ambience and they have forgotten all about the food!! The the portions were tiny and the prices high. Tandoori chicken was dry, The onions on the shahi snapper were completely burnt and the paneer makhani (indian cheese in a tomato gravy) was aweful, the paneer was rock solid. The food tasted like it had been made a long time ago. Would lt not be better to serve traditional Indian fare rather than all this fusion stuff which looks pretty on a plate but does nothing for your tastebuds and leaves you $150 lighter (for 3 persons) in the process?

Just OK, probably wouldn't go back.
We came to Miami on holiday last Nov 2007.We were excited to find an Indian restaurant in South Beach and coming from the UK, where Indian restaurants are very popular wanted to compare. Unfortunately, it didn't compare! The food just didn't taste right at all! The starters were good, then the rest of the meal wasn't good. Even the Naan bread had some bits of fruit in it which wasn't to our taste. I think the place had just opened so maybe it has got better with time but this just wasn't for us. Service was good but even the weather that evening wasn't great with rather a cool wind kicking in! In general, I think Indian food is hard to get right anyway.

To Pricy for the Quantity Served
The food was really good but i have never seen such less quantity being served at an indian restaurant. It was not enough for sharing. espceially the appetizer aloo chaat . I was shocked by the quanity it was not even enough for one person. Overall the food and ambience was great.
