Great dinning experience, great ambiance and a friendly staff.

Last Sunday My girlfriend and I rushed to get to this fabulous Italian Restaraunt we'd heard about. They close at 10 we arrived at 8:50. The only other table was on thier way out. I asked the not so happy server/bouncer at the front if it's still ok to be served. He responded yes certainly holding his real response back for the moment. As he sat us down he decided to mention " although we were about to shut down " down hill from there. As he brought out our appetizer huffing and puffing, he asked us if we knew what we were eating. He was determined to at the best of his ability get us out of there asap. My girlfriend kept telling me how disappointed she felt and wanted to leave. Once our entrees came out, once again huffing and puffing on his way back through the door mumbled if we wanted cheese. Later she admitted to me she wanted cheese but was too intimidated to say yes. Half way through the entrees he brought us our bill. Once I paid, as we finished our wine the outside patio began to get broken down amongst us. It was 9:40. By far the most unpleasant experience at any resteraunt I've personally experienced.

If you were to ask me today what my absolute favorite meal would be, I would have to say the Greek Salad Pizza at Italy Today in Miami Lakes. It’s like Kryptonite to Superman, I seriously get weak in the knees when I think about this pizza. I run the blog "Veg On The Run" and we go here all the time to have this pizza. The service is touch and go but the pizza is always amazing.

We had the pizza which tasted good, however the pizza is not "personal size" as stated by the waitress. It is what is generally considered a medium pizza (12" or so). We would have only ordered one if we knew this. The bread provided is good. Ask for a small amount of butter for the bread, it is very good. When the bill arrived a vegetarian pizza was listed on the bill, however I had ordered a Hawaiian pizza. The waitress said that it was the same price and was sure of it, however after I asked to see the menu I saw that my pizza was $1.50 less than the Vegetarian Pizza. No apology by the waitress she just brought a new ticket showing a $1.50 discount. Service is generally slow. We had visited the same restaurant earlier in our trip and the service was extremely slow but the italian food was good. Service was only slightly faster on Saturday evening. The restaurant was not crowded either time. Remember - review your bill before you pay. It seems like the waitress was being somewhat opportunistic overall since we looked liked tourists (incorrectly stating the pizza size and overcharging on the bill). We will not return.

Great place for yummy bread and italian cuisine...

Our dining experience last night was in a relaxed atmosphere, with professional and efficient staff. The meals were excellent; the bread served while preparing to order is absolutely out of this world. Delicioooooous. The grilled sirloin steak served medium rare with sauce on the side was perfect. Linguine alla scoglio el dente. The waitress (Patricia) guided us well and made us feel comfortable and appreciated. We visited courtesy of a gift certificate and will return to spend our money. Only criticism was that the table was a bit high or the chair was too low.
