    Poor service

Unfriendly waitress, always frowning no smile. Forgot our drinks, then forgot our salads. Walked by our table numerous times, didn't ask how things were. We asked for the tea to be refilled, she walked away and came back 5 minutes later and asked if we wanted the tea refilled. Charged us full price for sushi because the time on the bill was 10 minutes earlier than their "Happy Hour", despite us telling her we were there for happy hour, when we arrived. Not the first negative experience. Prior times, I ordered the Miso Soup, got only broth, and when I kindly inquired about it with the manager, she said they cut back on their portions, and it was the "regulars" who had higher expectations because they are used to more portions. It is a massive shame, because I liked this place ALOT! I loved the Sushi and the price was always reasonable. The service is what ruins this place for me. The food is good, the price is good, but what good is any of that if the service is rubbish?

    disappointed

I have been to this resturant 5 times over the past year. I must say that they are on a down slide. NY strip was no better than a chuck and devoid of taste. Service was substandard at best. At $23 it was not up to quality of what use to be served. I will not be back.

    Fast paced service!

Nice atmosphere and very FAST service. We arrived later on in the evening (10pm) so we can understand why service was rushed. Cocktails from the bar were mediocre but food was very fresh and tasting. I was taking a friend out for his Birthday - last minute thing. We were rushed from the get go - the check came almost too quickly. I did request a small cake for my friend's Birthday, which they did bring out which was really nice of them. All in all a good experience but felt WAY too rushed! Overall though, can't complain 'too' much.

Here's your hat whats your hurry

The waitress was in a hurry to get us out. We were 9 people so her gratuity was "in the bag" we were celebrating a birthday and part of our party traveled from 20 miles away, we werent offered dessert, the plates were being cleared while 2 of our party was still eating. I ordered strawberry smoothies that are on the "anytime cocktail" menu on line and was charged double the onlline price. when I quesstioned it I was told that I was mistaken. I checked the menu again when I got home and I was not mistaken, however I was embarrassed and I shouldnt have to tell them what their menu prices are on-line. The chef however, was very nice and the food tasted very good. I would not recommend this restaurant if you want to spend more than one hour total for your meal. We had a reservation and we were all there to be seated on time.

    Pushed too fast

Soon as you seat down to eat the race starts. We got the bill before the dessert then we wanted coffee. Then the bill again.

    Quality

20 odd bucks for the filet mignon hibachi is just right as you feel like you get 20 odd bucks worth of quality food. Delivery is much in the clutch. Ordered on a whim one day and became addicted.

    The best!

We have been going to Japan Inn for 16 years and there isn't another Japanese Restaurant out there that can beat it. Especially love the fried wahoo, white tuna and specialty rolls. I def. recommend giving it a try. The Habachi is awesome too.
