Classic
Joe's is a great place to experience. The food is fantastic for the most part. Some of the sides are just ok. Stone crabs are great and the fried chicken is a must. It is great for what it is and well worth the trip.

Completely Overrated
I've been to Miami many times and always wanted to go to Joe's because I had heard great things. Every time I attempted to go, the line was too long. Finally this past April I made it to a table and was excited to order. And I can honestly say it was one of the most overrated meals of my life. As a rule of thumb, stay away from the "recommended dishes". The side of tomato and cheese was frozen spinich on a roasted tomato with a kraft single on it. Almost insulting. Baked clams has very little meat and were almost all breading and stuffing. Salmon was average at best. The clincher was the famous Key Lime pie for dessert, which came half frozen. This place could not be more of a disappointment.

a classic
i've been coming here my whole life. i take visitors here and often pick up from the take-out. while they're known for their stone crabs (which are delicious), the other menu items are quite tasty too. fried chicken, joe's salad, hash browns, fried oysters, grilled fish, skinny sweets...and of course key lime pie and apple pie!
