Fun place...strong drinks!
My first impression of this large corner restaurant is that it's mostly a party place, which it is really but with surprisingly great food. The bar is spacious and well separated from the rest of the dining area if you prefer a quiet family meal. Lots of outdoor tables, too. The jalapeno poppers are awesome and seem to be housemade. Lots of flavorful salads with fun ingredients, like pineapple and toasted coconut. And the rum drinks do the trick! Unlike a lot of "island" themed places that serve overly sweet rum "punch", this place knows how to make a great fruity drink that packs a wollop. And you get the same drink whether it's happy hour or not.
