delicious nicaraguan's food
La Hormiga de Oro , has the best gallopinto that I had try ,in comparison with anothers nicaraguan rest, The Tacos are so good too, the only plate that they don't cook well is the whole baked chiken that came with the family plate., is too dry and not flavor .

Great Nica food!
If you are looking for authentic Nica food, this is a great spot to get it. While the place is small, it makes it up in flavor, food selection and value. I had the traditional Nica breakfast of gallo pinto, two eggs, maduros, fried cheese and a side of cream. I didn’t quite know what to do with the cream, other than scooping it with a spoon. Maybe if I had something to dip it with, I would have enjoyed it much more. Aside from the food, I also enjoyed the relaxed and casual atmosphere. I liked this place so much that I returned for lunch. This time I had the gallo pinto and carne asada. Make sure you ask for the chimichuri and chiles to add that extra kick to your food. The only complaint I had was the slowness in paying the bill. The waitress promptly handed me the bill after I had finished my lunch, but she never came around to collect the money. I finally had to get up and pay at the counter. Overall, this place has great Nica food at a great value.

Only Nicaraguen restaurant In pines
I loveeeee Nica food! It's not the best I've ever had but it's close to it. Tacos are good, gallo pinto, queso frito, and carne asada. I wished there repollo would be a little better and have chopped tomatoes but hey it's still good. I wish they had one west pines but this will have to do :)

Breakfast
The breakfast is excellent if you like central american food. It's a very big plate of gallo pinto, fried cheese, eggs, maduros... excellent and just 5.99 I highly recommend the hormiga de oro.

Best meat for the price
Don't you hate paying premium price for a dish of meat and getting no flavor and tenderness, well this will not happen at La Hormiga. The service was good and the place has a very quite and mellow atmosphere. Try various dishes and taste for yourself, you won't regret it!
