La Luna Bistro

We are year-round Boca residents and my Mother has patronized La Luna for 22 years (she lives across the street at Delaire). Tonight, she asked for her salad be chopped as she always has ordered and the waiter said that would be an additional $2.00 to chop your salad!! My sister asked if she could substitute her side of pasta for a vegetable, and the waiter said that would be an additional $4.95!! Both of these requests had been granted for years and as recently as 2 weeks ago. I asked to speak to the manager or owner who came over and was very arrogant nd said his people in the back were too busy to chop a salad, but for $2 they would do it. He turned away in disgust. We had to send our meals back b/c they were cold, and the veal was tough like leather. We will never return to La Luna and will ask that all our friends do the same.

I brought some colleagues to La luna the other day for a late lunch. When we arrived, there was only one table seated, yet after 10 minutes if just standing at the door, we decided we may as well seat outselves. The food was slightly above average however the service destroyed any credibility the food had. We started being served by what seemed the owners son or family member who had a delightful habit of throwing whatever he was serving you on the table. I have never eaten at a restaurant where your appetizer, main course and bread basket are literally thrown at you. Not only that, the head waiter/owner i assume just stood there watching and had nothing to say. The wait staff was overall loud, obnoxious and disrespectful. Will never return to this place again.

First time there was excellent. Food delish. Service excellent. Friendly atmosphere. waiter even sang for us. Will definitely go back.
