I absolutely love pancakes and french toast, so much so that I'll search places through the internet or word of mouth regarding great reviews. I happened to be at Lesters in Coconut Creek for the first time in my life with a friend who invited me for lunch. While there, I saw some breakfast items going to other tables. I decided to try breakfast there another time. Well, I finally went there deciding to try their french toast, not knowing what to expect. When it got to my table, wow! three very large and thick slices, cooked just the way I like it, moist, but cooked through. This was absolutely the best french toast I've ever had. I now go back regularly, sometimes just getting it go on my way to work, it's that good!

This was my go to restaurant for years. Unfortunately, it's degenerated. The portions have shrunk, the prices rose, the service is erratic at best except for one or two servers. As an example, the salad with chicken used to be real chicken tenders. Now it's that synthetic. A shame the owners lost focus on why people used to eat there.

I placed an order for delivery....the person who took the order never told me how much it was.so I just added it up myself.when the driver arrived...I was shocked when he told me it was $8 more than I anticipated.i called and asked why so much, the lady actually lied and said she called me back and told me it was $3 for delivery because I lived too far. I never spoke to her. No one called my phone back.why wasn't this clear in the beginning? Then the apple juice tasted like tap water.and the food wasn't hot.communication is the key.The first and last experience.I wouldn't recommend for delivery since we are left in the blind about delivery charges because we live too far.if that's the case...we DIDNT live too far for u to advertise your restaurant when you left your flyers on our door.never again

I have eaten Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner many times. Lester's Diner always provided excellent service with top quality, fresh food. Breakfast omelets, french toast, pancakes, bagels and lox platters are the best. Lunch provides a choice of 3 soups & chili, all homemade with mile high sandwiches. Dinner entrees especially the steaks and fish are of high quality, better than most local steak & fish houses. Desserts are huge and tasty, made at Lester's Diner. Late night has great food along with a cashier and waitresses that remind you of being at Mel's Diner. Don't miss the chance to partake in the ambiance. Day time has a great manager that has always made your dining experience a good one. He says " I want you to leave Lester's Diner happy and wanting to return".

After flying in from Nashville from visiting my son, my husband, who is blind, and myself stopped in at Lesters. I ordered a California Plate and told the waitress that I would never serve this plate as the cottage cheese was warm, the jello was soggy and the fruit was a tinny taste and not at all edible. She said she would check on it and never did but still charged us for it. We didnt mind paying for it but she should have offered something else and told the chef. I have in all my 89 years never had a disappointing meal here until now. I wish we hadnt gone now.
