Lil Reds Cookin
Posted by patregis on 04/22/2015
Been eating at Lil Reds back since it was down the street across from Lesters. Same, good old Southern cooking. No changes to good recipes all these years with one addition;the bread pudding. Order it hot, with carmel, whipped cream and a few coffee creamers. A nice finish to good bar-b-q. Good people and good food; priced right.

Been coming here for Sunday brunch. One of the best places for breakfast in Fort Lauderdale and the atmosphere is great. Food is extremely reasonably priced as well.

This place was a great lil spot to stop by my wife and I have dinner on Valentine's day and returned for breakfast the next morning. If you ever find yourself nearby stop in and have a great time.

Great place. No fancy puff. Just real food and good service. Quite pleasant staff and you could be in and out or hang awhile. Location, very convenient. And fast, they are always ready. Other customers always have been aware of their fellow diners in a respectful way. And to end, a very good menu always willing to change as you like a bit.

Lil Reds is a place that is okay. The sides are average, the cole slaw could be creamier. The chicken had no taste unless you pour a lot of sauce on it. May go back just to see if that one time was the norm. I have been to the best BBQ joints in the country, but this place falls way short.

The food has a nice down home taste. The pepper corn muffin tastes like something your Momma would make. My husband had the sliced pork sandwich, as he was eating it a few strange noises kept coming from his side of the table. So I'm thinking he enjoyed it since he could form no words. To sum it, we'll be back tomorrow!
