Little Havana II

First visit and was not impressed at all. Very very loud place with cd music and the musician hitting the drums and maracas at the same time was overwhelming. We were yelling to talk to even the waiter. Extremely high prices for the portions they served! We had a party of 6 people and we left hungry. They serve your meal on a dessert plate, in fact everythings on a dessert plate just weird and not filling.We get it, your trying to make us think we got a big portion, but we know better guys. I came with men and they were starving when we left. Lower your prices if thats the what your going to serve your food on. As far as the food 4 of us had very tasty meals, no extras at all with any meals, like vegetables,salad, etc. Just the meal on a small dessert plate. Rice on the side and black beans with those plantains, which only one of us eat. The pulled beef was adaquate, not really very tasty, kinda stringy with no sauce or anything. Just plain ole meat on rice...Really wouldnt rush back to this place. Lots of regulars here, probably not alot of 'hurry to get back' repeats. Atmosphere was nice, clean, authentic with alot of fun energy but really way too loud for such a small place. No conversations here, you leave with an empty wallet, empty stomach and headache from the noise. Sorry, we really wanted a new fun place to come to a few times a month, but this is not it unless they change a few things like portions, noise level, attitudes of watiers waitresses are blah at best.Could be a really nice restaurant if the servers attitudes were alot nicer, and first and foremost they need to give you larger portions on regular size dinner plates!

I had passed by this place once before, and I thought that it was too expensive for Cuban food. Generally, Cuban food is pretty cheap, and these prices were higher than I expected. We were also kind of underdressed, so we passed on it. I was WRONG! We decided to come back another time because I had a craving, and it was truly excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the Bistec Milanesa (not on the menu) that they prepared for me when I asked. The portion was humungous. Two people could've happily shared it. The Lechon Asado that my wife ordered was great as well, although it was enough food for only one normal human. I expected it to be overpriced and not worth a return trip. What I found really shocked me. We are looking forward to our return trip, and we have told friends and family about this place.

Great food, great prices and fast service. Ohh and the bread... great bread! All around a good choice
