    A pleasant surprise

My first visit to Mahogany Grille was a pleasant surprise. I had heard mixed reviews about the food, so I was a little hesitant. However, the food was great I had the crispy lobster and my husband had the stewed conch. Both were delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful, but I would have enjoyed a different table. Our table was near the bar area, and the loud coversations were slightly annoying. After dinner we went over to hear the band and really enjoyed the music. Keep up the great job-it's wonderful to have an upscale Black owned establishment to patronize.

    My $0.02

The servers were on-point and the atmosphere was upscale, but not pretentious. The food was another story. Maybe its because we caught them right at closing time, but the food was not as flavorful as I would've liked. Also, when I order $15 fried chicken, I think white meat is a given....instead I got 5 legs..so do specify. I did enjoy the peas and rice and I will try them again (and update) and give them another chance at getting the food right if only for their great service.

    For a Flavor-Filled Evening!

The cornbread and honey butter is to die for. Live jazz floating in from the loud next door is at first enticing and ultimately a satisfying end to the evening. The service is warm and friendly...certain entrees require additional prep time ....you can't rush a masterpiece. The Shirmp Grits and Stewed Conch are a delight. I look forward to experiencing the rest of the menu. For the ambiance, quality food and good service the cost is suprisingly economical

    Mama would be proud

only complaint on the food, use less salt and more herbs for seasoning the meats and graveys.
