The food here, in general, is terrific, as is the ambiance and the service; however, if you haven't tried the pork, you're missing what this place is all about. Even if you don't like pork, this is the place to give it a try. Although we've never experienced this, a few have suggested that some of the dishes are bland. Good Cuban cooks excel in the preparation of pork and this place brings it on! We've had it as an appetizer and entree and it is never, ever disappointing.

The owner is very nice, greets you at the door and takes care of you, making sure your meal is excellent. The food was delicious (a trifle overpriced, though, but the ambiance and service make up for it).

I haven't written a review in years! but Catalinas is a gem! The outside is rather quaint doesn't have the typical upscale look which is refreshing, but when you walk in, it's beautiful and simply magnificent service! Ive eaten at some good restaurants but this one is way at the top!! great for business romance and everything in between!! not to mention the food was spot on!! I recommend the Steak Argentina! and the Mojito's wow!! they do everything but actually feed you! I was blown away! and this is a must when in south Florida!

I take my wife here twice a month. She is a particular eater who always leaves Mario's happy. Our favorites are the Argentinian skirt steak and the chicken and shrimp. Both are terrifically seasoned. The plantains are wonderful as well. We always enjoy sangria while there. It's the best in town.

We were a party of 13 getting together for a long absence. The evening was wonderful as we had a great crew handling us. The staff was very professional. We had a price fixed menu but I and other diners so enjoyed the pulled pork dinner. The drinks were a little pricey as a mojoito, vodka & cranberry or red wine were $10 each!!! The dessert selection looked great, though I refrained from partaking of the delights that my other diners moaned over. The flan was applauded and the pistachio cheesecake was also praised. We will definitely go back again and we were already planning.

Grouper with garlic sauce was delicate and flavorful. Cappuccino was one of the best I've ever had. Sangria "slushies' are a specialty. Staff attentive and friendly.

Save your money, it is overpriced rice and beans. Other menue items like the shrimp is bland and the seafood paella oversalted. Very pushy owner greeting you at the door.
