Great food and great service!! I got the bucatini Pasta with vodka sauce and it was delicious. The pasta is served al dente and it was perfect.

My sister in law and I had dinner there for Valentine's Day. We ordered dinner and the waiter was not friendly and had a hard time understanding what we wanted. We ordered a salad for two, chicken Parmesan, spaghetti with meat sauce and one pork chop. He thought we were only getting the pork chop and he could not understand why we ordered one. We also ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio - which was $16.00. We asked for black napkins and that took 15 minutes to get and be never came back to see if we got them or if we needed more bread. My sister in law wanted the pork cooked well done with the sauce on the side. When the meal arrived he divided the food between us and left the remaining food on the side for us. The pork chop was not cooked well done as it was cooked perfectedly if you did not want it well done. I thought my sister in law was going to return it to have them cook it the way she wanted but decided to let it go. Also, the sauce and topping were on the chop not on the side as we ordered. The pork chop was so tough we could not eat it. It took awhile to get the waiter to come back as he never did once the meal was served. We explained that the pork was too tough to eat and his reply was --- you asked for it well done and that is your problem that it was tough. I explained that it was not cooked well done and that it probably was just a bad cut. Mt sister in law said she always gets it there that way and has never had a problem. She has been a customer there since they opened and they know her there by her name. We were not able to get our usual waiter and the one we got was just plain rude and unfriendly. He would not do anything about the chop.to make a long story short, the manager was even worse than the waiter when it comes to customer service. He refused to do anything--- refund the 20.00 or give us another option. When the bill came they charged us for it which we did not touch except for the first bite which we could not chew. We will never go back there again and another couple went there the day before and had a similar ituation and said the manager was the rudest person alive. There are too many good restaurants and this is not one.

Until last night we were regulars but no more. We had a reservation for 6 people at 8:00 p.m. The restaurant was crowded and 8:30, another party was seated at the table we were led to believe was going to be ours. We were rudely told that it would be another 25 minutes as what did we want him to do . How about not taking a reservation that you know was not going to be honored or at least tell us when we arrived that it would be an hour before we would be seated. We left the restaurant and went to another where we were treated with respect. We frequent Matteo's in the summer months when business is slow and now that they are in the season, they treated us like we don t matter. We live in the area and have told all of our friends about the rude manner we were treated. It will never happen again.

I live in CT and it was like Carmine's, NYC. Food and our server and host were all great!

I live in upstate NY where they have 100s of Italian Restaurants.... Our first 2 dinners at Matteo's, we thought it was one of the best sauces we've ever had.... returned 2 days ago with 3 friends and it almost inedible. Told the man at front desk my experience (quietly) and asked if they had a different cook on... he said NO. I cannot imagine that anyone there that night had a good meal. I won't go back.

The waiter was doing us a favor. We wanted to order appetizers before ordering the meal. He said we couldn't do that. '"Everything has to be ordered together." The sauce on my wife's dish looked and tasted as if out of the jar. To get a refill on the glass of water took several requests. An appetizer, an extremely mediocre chicken dish, and "lobster" (non-existent) ravioli was close to $70 +.

This place is sooooo overpriced. I asked for a substitute for potato they said no. Food was average but not worth the overprice. service unfriendly.
