This is by far the best Jamaican restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. A welcoming environment with the lively reggae music playing. The building may not look like much; but once you enter it's a welcoming feeling.

A Jamaican friend frequents this place and recommended it. It's definitely not a tourist joint and is as legit as it gets. If you're from out of town, don't let the exterior deter you bc the food is amazing and the staff welcoming. My husband had jerk pork that was moist and perfectly spiced. I had the jerk chicken, white meat, and it was juicy and so good I wanted to lick the jerk spice off the bones. Both came w red beans and rice. Make sure you say yes to the awesome gravy! A cabbage salad and tomatoes and cucumbers are included as well. Portions come in small or large- the small was generous and I couldn't finish. I wanted to try more things since they have such a traditional menu, but I was too full this visit. There's also a market in the front with Jamaican seasonings and other goodies. This is where Jamaicans go for a taste of home, so get in line, relax and enjoy!
