    OPA!

After going back again and again, My Big Fat Greek Restaurant never dissapoints. The food is traditional Greek fare, no surprises and very yummy...The staff is friendly, fun and always ready for a dance. This is the place to go with a group of people, or someone visiting from out of town. The belly dancing is fun and the atmosphere always energetic. Have a great time!

    My big fat happy tummy

I ate yesterday 10/20/07 for lunch. It was delicious! The interior is alittle dark but the walls are painted with landscapes. There is greek clothing encased in frames on the walls. The staff was pleasant. The only reason I rated the atmosphere alittle lower was because the restaurant sits on a canal and the view is not pleasing as there is garbage in the canal. Additionally the greek music was really loud and distracting. The tables had tableclothes. We were given the most delicious hummus I have ever had with slices of thick italian style bread pieces. This would have much better if it was served with pita bread. I ordered the gyro platter and my friend ordered a greek pita. The portions were enormous. The platter was really on a large platter filled with too much lamb to eat, 4 large pita bread slices and greek salad. There were peas on the plate but they tasted canned and the rolled grape leaf was allittle strong in flavor for me. The salad greens had plenty of feta cheese and it was absoutely delicous. My friend really enjoyed his pita. It was huge! The price was allitle high considering it was $25 + tip for lunch. However we will go back again on occasion when we are craving greek food.

    Good Entertainment

As spokesperson for a party of four who ate there on a Saturday evening, we found the staff polite and eager to please. The Mousaka was very good, however, the lamb chops were overcooked, and tough, We did enjoy the Greek salad, Saganaki, and the Calamari appetizers, but the Hummus was unlike any we've ever had with a bizarre flavor and consistency. For dessert, we sampled the Galaktobourido which was tasty, but the Baklava tasted salty, and was inedible. The atmosphere was fun, the belly dancer excellent, and the staff's Greek dancing was enthusiastic and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the entertainment was too brief. It would greatly benefit the dining experience if the restaurant remained open later on weekend evenings with continued dancing as this was a highlight of the evenig, and distinguishes this Greek restaurant from others .
