Not what I expected
Read the reviews before we dined there last week Overall we enjoyed the experience but there are a few things you should know. First, it was very warm in the restaurant, second, there are no prices mentioned, third, there are 2 bottles of wine to choose from ($45) each, fourth, every person must order their own entree and they are large. Appetizers ($15.00) can be shared with those at the table. Food was good, but not exceptional.

Like eating at home
Eating at this place felt like eating at your aunt's house or something. It was really wonderful. Philomena greeted us at the door and checked in on us throughout. It's a very small place, and the entire experience was just excellent. The food was great, and it came out in big portions. We went home happy and full!

The BEST Italian Food in South Florida
Okay, I have been going to this place for over 10 years. I lived in Italy for some years and I LOVE italian food. Yes, the place is small, the ambiance is that of a pizza parlor, but the characters that eat there in their "reserved" tables are a trip... Tony Sopranos... a bunch of them... The gravy she makes is excellent..whatever you order, from the broccoli rabe with sausage, to the pasta with meatballs, the chicken parmesan platter ( my favorite) or the Philomena's special sandwich, you cannot go wrong. Her daily specials are amazing dishes you will never find at any other italian restaurant. This is not a place to come looking to pinch a penny. Spend whatever it cost because it is worth it. Don't be in a rush, great food takes TIME to cook. Relax and enjoy the best Italian food in South Florida.

Disappointed
After hearing raves about this place I had to get there and decide on my own. Finally, I got my chance. Number one thing wrong here, no menus, no prices.. You get the feeling you're gonna be cheated before you begin. Otherwise why wouldn't they tell you what the cost is, right? The appetizers were truly delicious, I must say. The main entrees, not a pasta special to be had, were disappointing. The portions were huge, which was great, but the waitresses should have informed us that we could have easily shared them, instead of saying nothing, all of us ordering our own dishes at $40 a pop and wasting all the food. Philomena really should change her ways.. And this really could be a phenomenal restaurant.
